Skin Types

You are born with a specific skin type but your skin can change overtime due to lifestyle factors, hormonal changes & skin damage. Below is our guideline to skin types, but for Rejouir to assess your skin type properly we recommend you call in to have an in-depth skin scanner with our amazing Visia Gen machine which takes approximately 30 mins and gives you a side and front view of what is happening in all the layers of your skin, the cost is £30.00 which is redeemable against any of our products or supplements. This ensures we give you the correct recommendation of products for your skin which is the basis of Rejouir’s ethos. Note you need to come in with no make-up on and preferably with no skincare products on, however we can remove your make-up on day if you prefer and put a light skin friendly mineral foundation/powder on before you leave.

Oily Skin

If you have an oily skin you will have a shine over most of your face, you will also notice open pores and may suffer from congestion, blackheads & break-outs. Your skin may have a sallow complexion too and dead skin cells build up on the surface of your skin. Oily skins are prone to spots and therefore need a special skincare regime that deals with the oil without stripping and irritating the skin, at Rejouir we can recommend the ideal combination of products as well as effective Clinic treatments to balance your skin and prevent break-outs.

Dry Skin

Dry skin is a common skin complaint for fairer skins. The skin can look dull and lifeless. The skin can also feel tight and uncomfortable especially if central heating is on at home or in the building you work. You may suffer from pearly white spots (whiteheads), you will also notice skincare or body care products are absorbed quickly by the skin. This skin type is also known as lipid dry skin as it lacks lipids or oils. You need specific products that are going to stimulate natural lipid production and correct the dryness in your skin internally and externally and at Rejouir we have the know how to do this.

Normal Skin

This is quite an unusual skin type as it has no specific concerns. You are very lucky if you have this skin type but remember you want to look after your skin to maintain the normality for as long as possible. You will have neither too much or too little oil and your pore size will be normal although you can be prone to dehydration like all skin types depending on lifestyle and weather factors. There is a wide choice of home-care and in the clinic treatments to help you maintain your normal skin.

Sensitive Skin

Sensitive skin is thin and fragile so needs to be treated carefully. You may suffer from permanent high colour, redness or blotchy skin. Your skin will also feel hot to touch and you have a weakness to broken capillaries. Quite often sensitive skin is also present in drier skin types. Don’t despair there are a number of treatments & home-care products that we can offer which can help desensitise and control rednesses from within.
