Top Bridal Tips on the run up to the Royal Wedding9th May 2018
After reading all about Meghan Markles Royal Wedding beauty preparations and skin treatments with top London Facialist Sarah Chapman, we decided to put together a list of our own top tips for 'brides - to - be'.
Regular Facials are Key
Ideally you should start having facials to prepare for your big day 6 months before the weddings. Depending on your skin issues, the amount of facials you have can vary from 1-2 facials a week to 1 facial every other week or per month.
Rejouir have a bespoke Bridal Package for our Bride – To – Be’s which consists of 6 facials – 4 Environ and 2 Dermalux LED for £378 saving 10% off each facial. This package may not suit all your needs however and this should be discussed upon consultation with your therapist.
Supplements are as Important as Products
Supplements are a vital part of getting your skin back on track and can sometimes be even more important than products you use topically. Supplements work at a cellular level in the skin and depending on the ingredients they can reduce inflammation, acne, hydrate and moisturise the skin and balance hormones.
Our recent brides have been loving Lumity Life Supplements – these help to naturally balance hormones in the body, help you feel more energetic, sleep better, reduce stress levels, strengthen the hair and nails, and they are also anti-ageing and anti-inflammatory.
Cleansing is Essential
Cleansing your skin on a daily basis – ideally in the morning and evening, is the most important step in your skincare regime. It only takes a few minutes but it is essential to remove makeup, dirt and environmental additives from the skin to prevent further damage to the skins health, acne and clogged pores. Clean skin also helps other products such as serums to penetrate more effectively. One of our most popular cleansers is Image Skincare Iluma Brightening Cleansing Balm. Amazing for brightening dull skin and removing makeup leaving your skin feeling fresh.
Stay Away from Alcohol
Despite the temptation, try not to drink alcohol the night before your wedding. Just one glass of champagne will be dehydrating and will cause puffiness and bloating. The best course of beauty action is to avoid alcohol for the whole week before your big day. Save the celebrations for your wedding day.
Do it Yourself!
Gently use your fingertips and knuckles when cleansing your skin to mimic the lifting, firming and rejuvenation of an in-clinic facial massage. Massage the skin upwards, concentrating on actions that smooth out forehead lines and tone the jawline. These movements stimulate lymphatic drainage and leaves your skin glowing and less puffy.
Your Skin Needs a Treat too!
Sometimes the bare minimum cleanse and SPF isn't enough for the skin. We would recommend a weekly or bi-weekly at-home treatment for the skin such as using a hydrating sheet mask - Timeless Truth Triple Effect Hyaluronic Sheet masks are a favourite with our clients at the moment - or you could go for a vitamin infused masque - Like Image Skincare Vital C Overnight Masque to give your skin a boost of hydration and a gorgeous glow.
Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
Whether you use serums and moisturisers or masks and supplements one essential wedding skin quality is HYDRATION! Our brides love Advanced Nutrition Programme Skin Omega supplements to boost hydration in the skin from the inside. Another client favourite is the Environ Hydrating Oil Capsules. They come in a pot of 30 and you would just use these a couple of times per week, bursting the capsule into your hand and massaging onto the skin after your night time serums and keaving on your skin overnight.
